Description
The Tribe Hotel Auckland Fort Street marks the arrival of Accor’s design-led, lifestyle brand in New Zealand, occupying a revitalized space in the heart of the CBD. As the lead consultants, we designed a robust digital backbone that reflects the brand’s "connected" ethos, delivering high-speed data infrastructure and smart-room technology throughout the 60-room property. Our Electrical design prioritized energy efficiency and high-end aesthetic lighting integration to complement the hotel’s sophisticated industrial-chic interiors. A core component of our involvement was the delivery of comprehensive Fire Engineering and Passive Fire solutions, meticulously designed to protect the building’s occupants while navigating the complexities of an adaptive reuse structure. By coordinating detailed Passive Fire specifications, we ensured that all structural penetrations and fire-rated assemblies met stringent NZBC requirements without compromising the design’s exposed-service aesthetic. The Security design incorporated advanced access control and integrated surveillance systems, providing a safe, "frictionless" environment for guests moving between the social hubs and private rooms.
Our engineers worked closely with the architectural team to ensure that critical safety infrastructure remained discrete, maintaining the hotel’s sleek, minimalist feel. Completed in early 2024, the project stands as a benchmark for how precision engineering can support high-density, tech-forward hospitality. This collaboration with CP Group showcases our ability to deliver integrated life safety and technology solutions that meet the rigorous standards of international hotel brands.
