Description
We delivered a comprehensive multi-disciplinary engineering package for the major redevelopment of Lynmore Primary School in Rotorua. Our involvement spanned mechanical, electrical, communications, security, hydraulics, fire engineering, and fire protection services to support the creation of a state-of-the-art six-classroom teaching block. The mechanical design focused on advanced ventilation and thermal comfort solutions, ensuring a healthy and productive environment for both students and staff. Our electrical team engineered a robust power distribution network and high-efficiency lighting systems tailored for modern pedagogical needs.
We implemented a sophisticated communications and security framework, providing the digital infrastructure necessary for collaborative learning and campus-wide safety. The hydraulic engineering component involved the complete design of water and wastewater systems to serve the new facilities with a focus on durability and efficiency. Fire safety was a paramount priority, with our specialists developing integrated fire engineering and protection strategies that exceed the latest life-safety standards. Our multi-disciplinary approach allowed for seamless coordination across all services, ensuring that complex infrastructure was integrated discreetly within the architectural design. We worked closely with the Ministry of Education and school stakeholders to manage the installation phases with minimal disruption to the active school environment.
The project resulted in a future-proofed facility that replaces aging infrastructure with resilient, high-performance systems. This development highlights our ability to deliver technical excellence for public sector educational projects that require a holistic and integrated engineering approach.
