Hudson Village is an extraordinary 170-unit lifestyle community meticulously designed for the 50+ demographic in the rapidly growing Kōwhai Coast region. The development centers on the art of Kaitiakitanga (guardianship), preserving the site's original native bush while introducing sophisticated shared spaces, including an all-timber three-level Clubhouse and a state-of-the-art Health Club.
Our building services engineering scope focused on creating a resilient and energy-efficient environment that supports a resort-style experience for residents. This included the design of complex mechanical and hydraulic systems for the clubhouse. We integrated advanced electrical and ICT infrastructure to support a full-time concierge service, onsite security, and communal workspaces.
A key technical focus was the coordination of services across the diverse housing typologies, including luxury villas and apartments, to meet rigorous thermal performance and acoustic standards. By leveraging sustainable engineering practices, we ensured that the development's high-end amenities—including a restaurant, bar, and café—operate with maximum efficiency while maintaining a minimal environmental footprint.
