The Andrew Simms North Shore facility represents a major investment in the Auckland automotive market, bringing brands like BYD, Jeep, RAM, and Fiat to a single, state-of-the-art location. Our engineering team provided comprehensive services to convert and outfit the existing building into a premium dealership environment. A primary challenge was the significant electrical infrastructure required to implement multiple EV chargers, including a DC rapid charger, capable of charging up to 40 vehicles at one time to support the influx of BYD electric models.
We designed robust mechanical ventilation systems for a large workshop featuring several hoists, ensuring a healthy and safe environment for over 60 factory-trained technicians across the group's network. The hydraulic design managed specialized systems for the service bays and on-site customer amenities, including a café and comfortable waiting areas. Completed in November 2023, this project showcases our ability to deliver highly specialized, high-capacity retail environments that seamlessly integrate complex technical requirements into a premium showroom experience.
